ELECTION DAY is coming soon – May 29th 2023, 6:30 a.m.-10:00 p.m
Once again Grace will serve as a polling station for neighbourhood voters as we have in the past.Prior to COVID, for many years on Election Day Grace has welcomed voters with coffee, juice, baking and fruit. The response from voters has been a resounding chorus of praise. Some will even sit and visit over coffee in the social room. The positive comments are plenty. A favourite, overheard from a younger voter’s friend who had tagged along but had already voted elsewhere, “Wow! I never got this where I voted this afternoon. Maybe I’ll have to move.” We smiled and encouraged them to have some treats anyway.To make such a neighbourly gesture happen help is needed. If you can step forward to do so please sign up on the bulletin board. Hosts to welcome voters - encouraging them to enjoy coffee and goodies are needed as are donations of baking(no nuts) / fruit etc.If a necessary level of support is indicated the final decision to go ahead with our “voters bonus” will be made at least a week prior to the election.
