Happy New Year’s greetings with blessings on all the women involved in LWMLC Concordia Zone.As there were no other contenders for new President of our zone, I agreed to accept the position at the Fall Renewal held at Bethel, Sherwood Park in October,2022. This is new and unfamiliar territory for me so I will appreciate ENCOURAGEMENT from you as I try to ENCOURAGE you to be an active participant in this organization that does so much good.
With every LWML event, whether it was at local society meetings, zone rallies and renewals within our zone, retreats at Star of the North in St. Albert, being Grace’s delegate at district level or attending National convention in Victoria, the opportunity to participate brought inspiration and ENCOURAGEMENT to me. Each of these gatherings brought opportunity to participate in Bible study, contribute to service projects, listen to inspirational speakers and enjoy fellowship, food and fun in an ENCOURAGING Christian atmosphere.
We serve because Christ first served us! I now invite and encourage you to join in two upcoming events. The WonderFull World Retreat happens March 17-19 at Star of the North Retreat Centre in St. Albert. There is opportunity for worship, exploring God’s wonderful love throughout the world, meeting new Sisters in Christ, and even having peace and quiet solitude.
Of course, not to forget there’s great food and social time and singing. April 22 is Spring Renewal, hosted by the welcoming ladies of First Lutheran in Lloydminster. They have chosen the theme “Because He Lives”. More information will be coming as to speakers and service project.
